KAWORUUUUUU!1!!!!1!

Temporarily back to spazzing over Evangelion.

Or to be more specific, Rebuild of Evangelion aka the not-so-messed-up alternate retelling of NGE. Maybe.

I don't know, I was rewatching scenes and then I decided to just rewatch You Can (Not) Advance altogether. Definitely still one of the best movies <3

Oh and I watched the dub this time, since I saw it last time with subs.

The original Neon Genesis Evangelion dub was one of the best I heard, so honestly I'm still not sure what to think of Funimation's dub. Funimation's definitely great but I truthfully I got bored of their dubs a while ago. I will say I am happy enough with their take of this movie (I haven't seen the first Rebuild movie dubbed yet) but not 100% satisfied.

Glad that many of the original VAs came back, Tiffany and Spike are brilliant as Asuka and Shinji.

I'm still unsure about Brina being Rei, I definitely prefer her original VA but she wasn't dislikeable here. She grew on me well enough later on in the film.

Cannot take J Michael Tatum seriously as Kaji because I cannot unhear him as Kyouya and thus watching any dub with him (ie. many dubs) is bound to hurt my head, but he did well too.

Greg Ayre as Kensuke really threw me off, I don't know why... I thought Mari's VA (Trina Mishimura?) was good too. And loool I just checked ANN, Monica Rial seriously did Penpen's voice?

Despite this journal's title, Kaworu doesn't really appear much, only briefly in the beginning and right at the end. His VA changed too but I didn't take particular notice. I just can't wait to see him in the next movie FFFUUU----

Apparently the third movie You Can (Not) Redo will be out in Japan this autumn (well for Japan autumn, so for Australia, spring)? And obviously I will have to wait even longer for the DVD/ Bluray to come out so I can watch a non-fancam version of it... ;___; OH WHY IS THE WORLD SO CRUEL.
